Next Year's Anime Convention

Yeah, I think I am goping to look on the forums and see if there is any more info on it.

I coudn't find much in the way for the event on the forums, however I did find some rules about weapon usage in general for the convention.

It seems that using an actual weapon for this event may be more trouble than it is worth for this event. I will probably get a nerf mace or something.

so I guess dual weilding chainsaws is out of the question? maybe if I paint them orange... yeah!

I don't know, I think it would be doable to dual wield chain saws. Just basically take off the chains and they are harmless, and nothing about them can constitute a blade.

Don't know. Not really sure who I would go as. Might just wear the knight costume I wore at my wedding and go as a Paladin. Would work for the L.A.G. as well.

so it appears to be a much nicer hotel than we are used to... its got a poool and a whirlpool. plus what appears to be a big fancy fountain in the lobby. boy for someone who's only fear involves lots of water i sure am facinated by water in places where water isn't usually...

Well, thats the con hotel, we're staying at the hotel next door since they were booked. Still its a nice hotel, and ours isn't bad either, I kinda like the lobby look.

We have to go to jungle jims Friday.........

Yeah, bought one at the store today. Will probably buy the Nerf Marauder sword as well, and dual wield the two. Those and the Knights costume I have and I think I will be a decent Paladin for the convention.

i think I'm going to buy one of those giant french breads and just poke people with it... especially the staff. HEY! theres a wendy's! score!

I'll probably make some origami stuff for my attire/weaponry.

Oh cool, looks like I'll be eating tons of Plain Crispy Chicken Sandwiches. Which is fine, because I like them pretty well, and they are on the value menu, and they give a decent amount of protein.

Edit: Oh hey, we've been to this mall with Chris once before. Its where I got my Fullmetal Alchemist T-shirt at the Hot Topic or w/e. I remember the buffalo wing place and my coworker says there is this giant parachute type ride by the entrance. If I remember right, there is a nice book store right across the road in a shopping center too.

Exactly 2 weeks till we leave for the con. What time do you think you'll be arriving in Corbin, Jake? and what time would you guys like to leave from here? If we make it up there by 8 or so we can probably still get our badges early. The drive time from here to there is approx 3 hours non-stop, so about 4 hours factoring in stops and not getting lost somehow..

Possibly, up till now we've been working on preliminary stuff so we've not set any times. I doubt we'll want to go Thursday night after such a long drive (they're open 8-10 anyway), so I'd say it'd be Friday or something.

talk to the duck o doom and it seems saturday might be most likely, possibly, could be the best day for the jungle, maybe. if its not too much trouble.

everyone will have to bring oversized weapons made of space age materials and atleast 3 cases of industrial grade hair gel. and you have to hide your girlfriends if you see any long white haired dudes wearing bondage/techno style clothes. also I will punt any moogles.
