This is the game that is not yet out that will be awesome... Projected release is Spring of 2011.

Dragon's Nest DragonNest-2009-05-04-21-46-32-32

As you can see, it is an action based MMORPG. More action based than any I've ever seen. Looks awesome... And they have giant HAMMERS! Discuss.

Looks pretty cool (video worked fine, yay). I hope they don't keep the classes genderlocked.

Haha. Yeah, sexist Koreans. I thought it was odd that men are healers too, that tends to be the stereotypical female class, except these healers are paladins. I want to play the archer probably, but I don't want to be female if possible. I guess I could be a paladin too, but I figure Jon has that spot pretty well filled.

meh, we can have the same classes I'll end up doing something with two blades if they hand out the option, til then I want that friggin giant sword. I just hope they have pretty good char customizing and MOST importantly some FRIGGIN controls, maybe even controller use, yay.

also there is talk of an english patch so that it can be played on the korean servers... with real live koreans! wow... wonder how that works... probably have all my stuff in english (gear, skills, missions, etc>) but then when they speak it'l be like someone threw spagetti at a wall instead of typing... oh and also this was fun and informative:

Actually thinking about going the warrior path, though I did debate the cleric idea. Classes branch off into two specialties laters on, and one warrior spec (Mercenary) can wield giant hammers (and axes). Clerics (and paladins) are stuck with one handed blunts I believe. This link gives some info about job advancement:

I think I like Clerics best so far, not sure if I'd want to be a priest or paladin at the advancement though. I've recently gotten into healing classes, and I enjoy tanking too, so both routes look good to me. After playing WoW, I'm pretty comfortable playing anything What a Face .

Yeah, don't want that thing slung at you.

I think I might go Priest on Dragon Nest, since warriors can probably tank, it'd be good to have a healer.

yes, not dying in a horrible fashion is usually pretty good, so you'd be like a warrior monk of happiness and head squishery

Nope, never.

Also, Rappelz looks pretty cool
http://rappelz.mmosite.com/skills/races.shtml

Lots of classes, though based on your chosen "race".

World of Kung Fu's system sounded cool, but looks really complicated... You create your own kung fu moves of a sort. Still looking for more free MMOs.

Others:
9 Dragons (martial arts)
Hero Online (martial arts)

I've played Runes of Magic, its kinda meh.

4Story looks alright, has this interesting skill:

Transform the opponent into a squirrel with the evil power of the priest.\n The squirrel spell will be broken when the mutated opponent is attacked.

Me likey. Get everyone on board, stat =p.

4story looks like a mesh between WoW and FFXI, but I doubt it is controller compatible. Pretty much any console MMO like FFXI/FFXIV or Phantasy Star Universe should be though.

I'll probably give it a try tonight. It looks like it might play like WoW, with all the spell button clicks/hotkeys. If you can play with a few buttons like x is fireball, y is heal, a is ice shard, and b is massive explosion, you could probably do the basic functions at least.

Jon said Dual Blade might release on MS soon as well, so...

I'll be playing at least lol. Chris might want to as well, with the squirrel spell. I've also downloaded Hero Online, and I think I'll try 9Dragons too.
