I just saw this as an ad on another website, but the name and the picture of the beast girl on it reminded me of Mana Khemia, then I remembered that it was in a line with other games titles "Atelier Iris". So, possibly its an online version in that universe. I'll give it a go and let you know if its similar or not.

It even has assist type moves like in Mana Khemia (listed, haven't read up on anything since work internet is painfully slow today).

Hmm, yeah, now that I look at it, it seems only marginally related to Atelier Iris/Mana Khemia. Oh well.
